Residents and team at Garth House Care Home held a charity event at the end of April to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The Wellbeing Team and residents made bunting and decorations for our Cupcake Day, during their arts and crafts activity session. Our Head Chef, staff and some visitors made or brought in cupcakes for the fundraising day.
Entertainer Anthony Castleman performed a great show to everyone during our Cupcake Day event. Including our special guest Arlene McKee from the Alzheimer’ Society.
Events like this provides an opportunity to raise awareness around, educate and support those living with dementia and the people who help them. The home often hosts fundraising activities for charitable organisations and on this occasion, we raised £46.25.
It was an amazing afternoon and a great way to get everyone at Garth House involved! We would like to thank everyone that joined us and helped us to raise the money!
