The residents and team at Garth House Care Home in Dorking took the opportunity this week to celebrate the great British tradition of Afternoon Tea with their own event.
Afternoon Tea Week which takes place from Monday 7th to Sunday 13th August is a perfect excuse to catch up with loved ones over a cup of tea and some delicious treats.
Our Head Chef prepared a selection of party foods and sweet treats including cakes for all to enjoy and we were joined by classical singer Kathleen Linton-Ford who put on an amazing show for our residents, colleagues and relatives.
One of our residents said “I am so pleased to stay at Garth House. I enjoy seeing different musicians here and there is always something to look forward to.”
These types of events enable those living in our communities to come together, share stories and build meaningful connections, contributing to overall happiness and a sense of belonging, making you feel part of a community who care from the heart.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our celebrations and look we forward to seeing you at our next event!
