Residents, staff and guests spent a lovely afternoon at a Mad Hatters Tea Party out on the decking at Firtree House Care Home. The Alice in Wonderland inspired event was made all the more special by our staff dressing up as some of the favourite characters from this classic.
The hospitality team outdid themselves with an assortment of homemade cakes and savoury items to enjoy. Events and activities, where residents are able to interact and feel engaged, is a key-factor of the care given at Firtree House and also helps socialisation within the home.
During the tea party, a local barber shop quartet came and played to the residents and their guests whilst they ate. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, a great activity, everyone really enjoyed themselves and nobody lost their heads!!
