Mount Pleasant Care Home is situated in a rural part of Burton-on-Trent with stunning views over surrounding fields. The local town centre is a few miles away with good public transport links.
Life is busy at Mount Pleasant and no two days are the same. We have a flexible approach to supporting our community with their day to day needs as no two people are the same. Family and Friends are welcome to visit any time day or night and spend time with their loved ones and they are also invited to participate in our many and varied activities.
We have built up close relationships with our local community and are frequent visitors at the local community centre and adjacent charity shop. Children from two local nurseries and the local village primary school visit us and participate in activities, which everyone loves. We try to ensure that the people who choose Mount Pleasant as their home feel that it truly is their home. We always say “Mount Pleasant is an extension of our own family.”

The welcoming surroundings at Mount Pleasant Care Home are matched by the high standard of individual care our colleagues provide to our residents. When you arrive and throughout your stay you’re greeted with warmth, passion, and care and our community is vibrant, happy, and homely.
We love learning as much as we can about who we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual need and interests. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Our team take the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.
We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Surrounding everyone with familiarity, security and care, we make their experience with us as fulfilling as possible.

Meet the Manager
Nikki is our Home Manager at Mount Pleasant, here’s a little bit more about herself and the home in her own words:
“Having qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2000, I bring over 17 years’ experience to my role with 10 years’ experience in orthopaedics nursing, working predominantly with elderly patients. This wealth of nursing experience has equipped me with the appropriate skills for my role and daily life at Mount Pleasant, where I work hard to ensure that those in my care lead happy and fulfilling lives, whilst maintaining choice over the care and support they receive. Personal preferences from waking times to food choices, hobbies and interests are incorporated to any routine to ensure a home from home feeling from day one.
I am passionate about delivering great care and firmly believe in the importance of maintaining strong relationships with residents, their relatives and friends. Understanding the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of a care home and making Mount Pleasant a home for our residents to live well in. I love nothing more than spending time with our residents and getting to know them better.
I look forward to meeting those that wish to find out more about or warm, welcoming community. I am happy to show you around our home.”
