Throughout September, friends and family of residents at Mount Pleasant Care Home in Burton-on-Trent were invited to the home to enjoy traditional afternoon tea with their loved ones.
This was a great opportunity to bring people together for some quality family time, especially as some residents aren’t able to access the community easily.
Residents were able to book a timeslot in the bar area, a cosy private space for families to eat and chat over a relaxed afternoon.
Chef Heidi put together a beautiful traditional spread with cake displays of eclairs, scones, jam tarts and many more sweet treats.
Resident, Sylvia, enjoyed the afternoon with her family and friends, Barry was joined by his wife and Roy got to spend time with all of his family together at the home for the first time.
Home Manager, Nikki, commented, “it is always so lovely to see friends and family together creating lasting memories. Everyone enjoyed their afternoon tea and we are definitely planning to do this again!”
