Welcome to L’Hermitage
L’Hermitage Care Centre, which is based in St Peter, on the island of Jersey, not far from the airport, with attractive views over open fields, this purpose-built community offers great amenities, engaging daily activities, and spaces to unwind or entertain visiting family or friends. Offering residential and nursing care, it is part of the same care complex as Beaumont Villa which offers dementia care.
The home is a short walk from the beach, local cafes and shops. A favourite trip that has and continues to be enjoyed by all residents is Wet Wheels, this is a water-based trip that residents who have owned their own boats really enjoy and it supports reminiscence work.
Life at L’Hermitage Care Centre is a home from home, where residents are made to feel comfortable and supported to participate in activities that are important and meaningful to them. There is fun and laughter shared between residents, relatives and the whole team.

Meet the Manager
Ronan is our Home Manager at Beaumont Villa, here’s a little bit more about himself and the home in his own words:
“I have 40 years of experience in a variety of fields, from paediatrics at Great Ormond Street Hospital to overseas work in Palestine, South Africa, and Thailand. For 20 years of my experience, I have worked in Care Home facilities with an emphasis on promoting excellence, adopting a more personalised and holistic approach.
I work in my residents’ home; they have chosen to live here and it is a privilege for me to be a part of their life and contribute to their overall wellbeing. I hope I make a positive change that the residents can relate to, even the smallest gesture is important. Seeing our residents and my team laughing and smiling brings me a lot of joy!
I believe in a kind and calm approach, as it is essential to imbue a sense of tranquility. It resonates with all who live and visit Beaumont Villa and L’Hermitage, and this translates to improved relationships with all who visit the community.”

Steve Picot
Community Relations Manager
My role focuses on building connections between our residents and the local community while collaborating with the activities team to organise events that bring joy to their days. Family is the most precious thing we have, and I feel honoured to be part of a team that truly cares for others.
Getting Social
Bit cold for surfing unless your on the internet. What goes well with a bit of web browsing but some wine and cheese 🍷🧀 We invited IT specialist Daniel Liot (Not Cake) to do a Q&A and safety chat for the Silver Surfers.
Daniel specialises in working with seniors and recently won the Channel 103 Customer Service Award Winner in 2025 for the Digital and Tech Category. He has a way of simplifying those annoying gremlins and covers everything from smart phones to gaming PC's and does home call outs or phone consultations.
Nothing is too much trouble. Not only does he fix problems but he can also supply and consult on the right PC, Laptop or Tablet for you. One of his pet peeves is people who are told to buy something unsuitable and overpriced. Daniel will discuss your needs and make sure you don't spend more than you need too. What a day of mixed emotions here today. Our esteemed leader Ronan Gouillou Green had his last shift here. He is a force of nature that will be sorely missed by the staff and residents at L'Hermitage
A dour Scot who took us to new heights from difficult times. Firm but fair he worked diligently for everyone under our rooves both at L'Hermitage & Beaumont Villa. He leaves us in a better place than he found it. We are all immensely grateful for his leadership and strength and truly wish him well for the future.

Something that needs to supported in this world so we decided to put super chef Daniel on the case and create some. 🍰
When it comes to local charities one of the most well known is Communicare and their Brighter Futures initiative. So we spoke to Tony the manager and asked if he would mind if we dropped off a cake. He didn't take much persuading....
Our timing was perfect as Dementia Jersey were hosting their carers support meeting just as we arrived. Another island charity helping others and definitely worthy of support. Dan from Dementia Jersey was more than happy to take control of slicing duties.
So a double charity win showing charity really does begin at home 😊Our little island has some big hearts 💓 and we are proud to help where we can. Thank you Communicare and Dementia Jersey for all you do for local families you really do make a difference.
Oh and Daniel wants to know if you like the cake 🙂😉
