Welcome to L’Hermitage
L’Hermitage Care Centre, which is based in St Peter, on the island of Jersey, not far from the airport, with attractive views over open fields, this purpose-built community offers great amenities, engaging daily activities, and spaces to unwind or entertain visiting family or friends. Offering residential and nursing care, it is part of the same care complex as Beaumont Villa which offers dementia care.
The home is a short walk from the beach, local cafes and shops. A favourite trip that has and continues to be enjoyed by all residents is Wet Wheels, this is a water-based trip that residents who have owned their own boats really enjoy and it supports reminiscence work.
Life at L’Hermitage Care Centre is a home from home, where residents are made to feel comfortable and supported to participate in activities that are important and meaningful to them. There is fun and laughter shared between residents, relatives and the whole team.
What does care from the heart mean to the team at L’Hermitage?
“Care from the heart is at the core of all that we do. Residents are encouraged to participate in their care plans to ensure that they are truly resident centred and residents receive care that is personal to them. We have empathy and approach every situation with kindness and compassion. Making every moment really matter and finding enjoyment in the smallest of places. “

Keeping Things Personal
The welcoming surroundings at L’hermitage care home are matched by the high standard of individual care our colleagues provide to our residents. When you arrive and throughout your stay you’re greeted with warmth, passion, and care and our community is vibrant, happy, and homely.
We love learning as much as we can about who we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual need and interests. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Our team take the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.
We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Surrounding everyone with familiarity, security and care, we make their experience with us as fulfilling as possible.

Meet the Manager
Ronan is our Home Manager at Beaumont Villa, here’s a little bit more about himself and the home in his own words:
“I have 40 years of experience in a variety of fields, from paediatrics at Great Ormond Street Hospital to overseas work in Palestine, South Africa, and Thailand. For 20 years of my experience, I have worked in Care Home facilities with an emphasis on promoting excellence, adopting a more personalised and holistic approach.
I work in my residents’ home; they have chosen to live here and it is a privilege for me to be a part of their life and contribute to their overall wellbeing. I hope I make a positive change that the residents can relate to, even the smallest gesture is important. Seeing our residents and my team laughing and smiling brings me a lot of joy!
I believe in a kind and calm approach, as it is essential to imbue a sense of tranquility. It resonates with all who live and visit Beaumont Villa and L’Hermitage, and this translates to improved relationships with all who visit the community.”
