Last month, the residents at Cranmer Court Care Home in Warlingham enjoyed their favourite tipples thanks to the opening of the home’s very own bar.
Resident Ann had the honour of cutting the ribbon for the grand opening. Joined by residents Gill, Hilda, Alison, Kath, Eileen, Norma, Jean, and Norma, they all enjoyed their very first ‘happy hour’ whilst listening to 50s classics. Activities Lead Chris brought in his old record player along with singles and EPs from the likes of Elvis Presley and The Everly Brothers.
Every Friday afternoon during their ‘happy hour’, residents can now head to the activities room for their favourite tipples. Resident Gill commented, “how lovely to have our very own bar!” Hilda added, “I’ll have a Baileys on ice, please. Make it a double.”
