Last week, Cranmer Court Care Home in Warlingham opened its doors to the local community as part of Care Home Open Week.
The day centred around a special visit from local nursery children, who delighted residents with songs and gifted them handmade flower cards. They also took the time to visit those who were unable to join the group in the garden.
Home Manager Norah said, “We wanted to create a truly special day for our residents and the community. Bringing together different generations is always a beautiful experience. Thank you to our amazing Chef Corina for the wonderful spread, and thank you to the nursery team for bringing the little visitors. It was a memorable morning.”
A delicious brunch was also served, with the team, children, and community members enjoying sandwiches, cakes, scones, and a variety of fruit.
One of the children said to his nursery teacher, “Everyone is so lovely here!”.
Resident May said, “They’re such little cuties,” while resident Hilda added, “What sweethearts!”
