Cranmer Court Care Home celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III with a ‘Big Coronation Lunch’.
On the morning of Coronation Day, our residents were busy making their own Coronation Quiche in preparation for our Big Lunch on the Sunday.
We were delighted to welcome Chairman of Tandridge, Councillor Jackie Wren as our guest of honour to our Coronation Lunch. Well done and thank you to our team of chefs and kitchen staff who prepared our amazing food, including a centrepiece of pig on the spit!
The desserts were also spectacular and included a Coronation trifle, a Jubilee trifle and chocolate fountain. The lunch was followed by musical entertainment from the wonderful Denny Terrell.
A momentous event in our history, the Coronation of King Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as king and queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. It took place on Saturday 6th May at Westminster Abbey and many of our homes organised celebrations to mark this occasion.
Thank you to all our wonderful team for helping make the event such a success for our residents and their friends and families. It was a joy to see so many people enjoying themselves and working off their food on the bouncy castle at the end of the party. We extend our thanks to BJs Bouncy Castles & Soft Play Hire for the supply of the inflatables.
