On Tuesday 10th May Cranmer Court Care Home had the pleasure to welcome residents’ loved ones to the home as they took part in the bake sale for the ‘Bake for Dementia’ initiative supporting The Alzheimer’s Society.
A delicious spread of all sorts of delightful, sweet assortments were prepared by the lovely residents, their loved ones, and the wonderful staff members. The bake sale was the product of amazing team and collaborative effort. In addition to the sale, a raffle also took place.
The residents and staff at Cranmer Court were able to raise over £200 for The Alzheimer’s Society.
The Alzheimer’s Society is a care and research charity for people with dementia and their carers. It operates in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. As the UK’s leading dementia charity, they campaign for change and raise research funds to find a cure and support people living with dementia today.
According to The Alzheimer’s Society, too many people face dementia alone. In addition to that people with dementia also comment on how difficult it is to find information and support. The organization aims for a society where nobody would face dementia alone.
We were thrilled to be able to participate in the ‘Bake for Dementia’ and contribute to such a noble cause.
Cranmer Court, rated as Good overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), is in Farleigh Common and is near the Upper Warlingham Station.
