Recently at Coppice Lea Care Home in Merstham, our residents and their loved ones gathered to enjoy our annual Summer BBQ Fete with a Hawaiian twist.
Our talented chef, Soumia, spoilt us with a mouth-watering BBQ buffet, sizzling burgers, hot dogs and kebabs outdoors in the perfect BBQ weather.
Claire and Neil from Care Entertainment put on a brilliant show for us all, with Neil playing the electric fiddle and Claire singing a variety of fun dance songs like the ‘Okey Cokey’ that were great fun for the kids and adults alike.
Everybody got in the spirit, rocking their flowery garlands, and posing for pictures with our colourful Hawaiian cutouts.
Our resident, Alan, took the lead with our raffle, selling tickets throughout the day and brought the party to a close, awarding the winners with chocolates, perfume, ornaments and other prizes.
Our regional manager, Eva, was among the visitors enjoying the summer celebrations with us, commenting, “I love going around our communities. Yet again our colleagues pulled it off and created an amazing summer BBQ party for our residents, families, and friends!”
