Last week, the residents at Beaumont Villa Care Home in St Peters enjoyed a day of self-care.
Joined by therapist Charlotte and hairdresser Tracey, the residents headed to the lounge to begin their pamper session. With nail treatments, facials, massages, and hair styling on offer, they were able to relax and unwind whilst experiencing a spa day at home.
Resident Shirley commented, “I’m loving my new look, thank you so much.” Wellbeing Coordinator Liza added, “Our lovely residents deserve to have the best and to feel their best, inside and out.”
The pamper session was made even better with a visit from Julia and her therapy dog Mr. Jones. Mr Jones is a border collie who used to go with Julia to work as a puppy. When Julia retired, she approached Pets as Therapy (PAT) on how to train Mr Jones to work with vulnerable children and adults. Once they both passed their assessments, PAT introduced Julia and Mr Jones to Beaumont Villa and L’Hermitage. They have been regular visitors ever since and the residents are always delighted to see them.
