Recently, residents at Walstead Place Care Home in Haywards Heath enjoyed a nostalgic day out to Seaford Beach on the South Coast.
Following a recent residents’ meeting, where many expressed a wish to spend time by the sea, the trip was arranged by the home’s activities and wellbeing team to help residents stay active, engaged, and connected to the things they love.
Despite a few raindrops, spirits were high, with residents chatting, laughing, and reminiscing throughout the visit. One resident said, “What a beautiful day, it’s like I’m a kid again,” as the trip brought back fond memories of seaside visits from their younger days.
