Ivy Court at 10: A Day of Music, Friendship and Thanks
Ivy Court Care Home recently marked a remarkable milestone – its 10th anniversary – with a joyful celebration bringing together residents, their families, friends, and members of the local community. Over the past decade, Ivy Court has become more than just a care home; it has grown into a welcoming place of warmth, support, and companionship. The anniversary event was a heartfelt reflection of that spirit.
The day was filled with music, laughter and togetherness. Guests were treated to a wonderful live performance from Lucy, a talented singer whose uplifting repertoire created a truly celebratory atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed a delicious selection of food, including roast pork rolls with stuffing and apple sauce, Filipino noodles with chicken, as well as a tempting array of drinks and cakes – all lovingly prepared by the kitchen team.
The event was made possible thanks to the dedication and collaboration of the Ivy Court team, particularly the activities and kitchen departments, who worked hard behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their efforts did not go unnoticed, with many families and friends sharing kind words of appreciation for the care and attention shown.
One of the most memorable aspects of the celebration was the warmth and gratitude expressed by those in attendance. Jayne, one of the volunteers, shared:
“Thank you, it was a lovely morning. The food and music were wonderful, and it was so lovely to see all the residents and staff.”
