Residents and team members at Oak Manor recently got stuck in to support one of their regular entertainers, Charlie, AKA Down Melody Lane, as she prepares to perform SpongeBob the Musical at her local theatre.
When a castmate had to pull out unexpectedly, Charlie asked if the Oak Manor community could help by making decorations for the set and bar area. Everyone was more than happy to step in.
With materials provided by wellbeing leads Kat and Paula, residents and team members from across the home – including carers, housekeeping, admin and more – joined forces to create bright, eye-catching artwork. Together, they crafted jellyfish, sea-themed pieces, and a colourful under-the-sea collage to help bring the show’s setting to life.
Charlie was thrilled with the results and her reaction said it all: “Wow, thank you so much – this all looks absolutely amazing!”
It was a fun and rewarding activity that showed just how creative and supportive the Oak Manor community can be.
