Last month, the team and residents at Garth House Care Home in Dorking held a ‘Cuppa Morning’ fundraiser in support of Dementia UK.
On 23rd May, the home welcomed family, friends, and the local community for the special event to raise money in support of families facing the challenges of life with dementia.
The residents helped prepare for the occasion by making bunting and cupcakes with Health and Wellbeing Coordinator Nergiz, while the home’s chef, Glenn, made a selection of delicious drinks and cakes.
During the event, talented musician Anthony Castleman gave an amazing performance. Nergiz also spoke about dementia awareness and the importance of organising special events to bring people together and support those affected.
Resident Betty said, “It was a lovely event to support others, and I was happy to be part of it.”
Resident John added, “It was a great charitable event with great music. I enjoyed every minute of it.”
