The garden at Coppice Lea Care Home in Merstham has been given a vibrant new look thanks to a brilliant team effort, transforming the outdoor space into a colourful and welcoming area for residents, families and visitors to enjoy.

In preparation for the project, the team got stuck in by trimming back overgrowth, repainting fences and benches, and clearing space for new features. They then set about planting bright flowers, refreshing the layout, and adding sensory elements including garden arches, decorations, and a dedicated vegetable patch.

Several residents got involved by helping to pot flowers, while others enjoyed watching the transformation unfold from their favourite spots in the garden. There were smiles all round as the space came to life with colour, scent and sound.

Regional Manager Eva Trochim joined the team for the day, lending a hand and celebrating the positive impact the garden would bring.

One of the highlights was the unveiling of the new sensory garden – a touching moment that was enjoyed by everyone who took part. As resident Cynthia put it, “It’s like a brand-new garden!”

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this revitalisation such a huge success.
