The garden at Oak Manor Nursing Home in Norfolk has been given a colourful new lease of life, thanks to a brilliant team effort from residents, team members, relatives—and even family of former residents who remain a cherished part of the community.

In the weeks leading up to the transformation, the team asked residents what they’d like to see in the garden. With their ideas in mind, they set off to buy everything from flowers and garden furniture to sensory touches like fairy lights and windchimes.

Everyone got stuck in, working together to create a beautiful outdoor space ready for the summer. Among the green-thumbed team members was receptionist Polly, who shared, “It’s an honour to help make the residents’ garden look so beautiful for them to enjoy.”

After a busy day of planting, arranging and decorating, the team took a well-earned break to enjoy some Domino’s pizza together.

The refreshed garden has added even more colour and charm to the home. Oak Manor’s efforts have made them a strong contender in this year’s Aria in Bloom competition, with homes across the group showcasing some truly inspiring transformations.
