On the 14th of March, Walstead Place Care Home hosted a delightful afternoon tea party to celebrate the launch of Aria Care Group. The event was attended by the residents, their relatives and colleagues.
Aria Care has two homes in West Sussex and 50 in total across England, Scotland and Jersey, which all took part in the afternoon tea celebrations.
The group celebrated its official launch on Monday, 13th March at its head offices in Colchester, Essex, with an Alice in Wonderland-themed afternoon tea.
Homes across the group, including Walstead Place, then joined in the celebrations with their own tea parties on Tuesday, 14th March, with sandwiches, scones and sweet treats. Walstead Place was decorated for the party and entertainment was provided by local artists.
Everybody was in high spirits, singing, dancing, and enjoying the scrumptious refreshments on offer. The entire afternoon was a roaring success, with family members, residents, colleagues, and Kate the singer all heaping praise on the Walstead team.
Speaking about the launch Home Manager, Jacquie Ferguson at Walstead Place said, “We are delighted to launch Aria Care and to have the opportunity to provide even more support to our residents and the wider community. “Lyn and her team in the kitchen outdid themselves, supplying the guests with an array of delicious treats such as homemade cakes, sausage rolls, open sandwiches, and cream scones, along with other delightful nibbles. The lounge was adorned with balloon arches, bunting, and flowers by the well-being team, who also arranged for the talented singer Kate to perform some old favourites.”
