Walstead Place celebrates a dedicated team member

James Easton Walsted Place

At Walsted Place Care Home in Lindfield, valued team member James Easton was presented with an Hearts of Gold award given for his commitment to our residents and colleagues. Hearts of Gold is open to all members of staff and nominations come from the residents and team. The winning team member receives shopping vouchers and a certificate.

James Easton is a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who started his career as a carer at the age of 19, despite having no prior experience in the field. After a brief stint away from Aria Care, he returned to his role because of his desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those he cares for. Over the past few years, James has demonstrated a commendable commitment to his work, and his efforts have been duly rewarded.

He was promoted to Floor Manager and is responsible for overseeing a variety of tasks, such as handovers, allocations of daily duties, audits, GP rounds, and PCS system management. James’ excellent leadership skills have earned him praise from external professionals and relatives alike, and he continues to be a important member of our community at Walstead Place. Well done James!

James says, “My role is one of many and I do not mind what I do, the main thing is that I come to work to look after the residents and make sure things are done properly. I love the team we have here at Walstead, and it gives me pleasure to be a part of the whole team.”

Recently transformed with a stunning refurbishment, Walstead Place shows its continuing commitment to providing the best possible care and living environment, offering residential care on a permanent or short-stay basis.
