On Friday, 1st March, Home of Compassion, officially became known as Thames View Care Home in Thames Ditton.
The renaming which better reflects our stunning location and welcoming environment, marks a new chapter for our home.
To celebrate the renaming, a special afternoon tea was held on Friday for our residents and their families. Our talented chefs produced a menu of sandwiches, sweet treats and prosecco for all to enjoy. We were joined by the City String Trio who entertained the guests.
Paul Fenech, the general manager at Thames View said: “It was wonderful to celebrate the day with the people living in our community and their relatives. We are so excited for this new chapter. We are in such a beautiful location, right on the banks of the River Thames, and both colleagues and residents alike love to sit out and admire the views.
“The name ‘Thames View’ feels much more reflective of life at the home, and although the name has changed, the hearts remain the same.“
Following this celebratory tea, we will be hosting a cheese and wine evening on Thursday, 7th March, welcoming members of the community.
