Daily life at Thames View
At Aria Care, we take a genuine interest in you and the way you like spending your time. This means we can tailor your time with us and make sure it’s every bit as enjoyable as life has always been. With round-the-clock care and support, dining experiences and stimulating activities, you’ll soon be calling us “home”.
Morning
- Enjoy some gentle exercise in our chair exercise classes each week.
- Our residents can eat breakfast in the dining room or within their room.
- You’ll find our residents soaking up the morning sun, enjoying a coffee or tea with fellow residents.
Afternoon
- Have a relaxing time watching your favourite movie during our film afternoons.
- Our beautiful gardens with various seating areas are a perfect space to catch up with visiting family and friends.
- Spend time in our quiet spaces and enjoy a good book.
Evening
- After a delicious dinner, you’ll find our residents enjoying an after-dinner drink.
- Gatherings and parties to celebrate important dates, with families and friends invited to join in and spend precious time together.
- Seasonal events including, autumn cheese and wine evenings and summer BBQs.

When you arrive and throughout your stay you’re greeted with warmth, passion, and care and our community is vibrant, happy, and homely. We love learning as much as we can about who we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual need and interests. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Our team take the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.
We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Surrounding everyone with familiarity, security and care, we make their experience with us as fulfilling as possible.
Reviews
She suffered from vascular dementia, and so had short term memory loss and had mobility problems. However, she enjoyed singing, concerts, arts and crafts and all the other activities that the home had to offer. She was well looked after by the nursing staff, who are experienced and genuinely caring, until her life ended there, peacefully and in comfort.
I cannot praise the home and its staff highly enough. The nursing team were always kind, friendly and welcoming; the activities team imaginative, understanding and unfailingly delightful.
I believe that the Home of Compassion offered the best possible environment to an old lady in declining health. I thank everyone there for their dedication and care.

Paul is our General Manager at Thames View, here’s a little bit more about the home in his own words:
“I believe that our residents should be treated with the highest quality of care possible and endeavour to ensure that my team and I always maintain this, whilst making each day memorable. I lead by example and involve myself in day-to-day life of our community as well as making Thames View a happy and enjoyable place in which to live and work.
I take a lot of pleasure from spending time with relatives and residents, understanding the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of our community.
I have worked in the hospitality sector my entire career and have had the opportunity of working and managing a large private hospital as well as amazing hotels. My previous experience means that I can therefore provide a service to our residents, families, guests, and colleagues, which is the highlight of my day.
At Thames View, we are one big family and everything we do is from the heart, delivering care with empathy and always being helpful to our residents and team for no other reason than to make a difference every day.
My biggest achievement is my family and I appreciate how supportive they are of what I do as I work away from home. It’s been lovely to see and explore Thames Ditton as the area is amazing and it is important that our home is part of our local community. I am a keen traveller, love cruising and holidaying, as well as countryside walks and am passionate about life, making every day count while making memories.”

I involve myself in the day to day life of the home to ensure it is a happy and enjoyable place in which to live and work. It is important to me to make each day memorable for all of our residents and that they feel part of our family.
Denise McMillan
Registered Manager
I am dedicated to the individual care for our residents. Understanding their rich and colourful life stories, their interests and their needs, helps shape all that we do for them. We always provide support that is as personal and unique as they are.
Jozsef Toth
Hotel Services Manager
I have been working in the hospitality industry for over 14 years. I strive to achieve excellent customer service for our residents and their relatives. I strongly believe great teamwork helps us to reach the stars and creates a welcoming environment for our residents – because we are here for them.
Raquel Pena Aristizabal
Health and Wellbeing Lead
I have a background in fine art and design, which I put to good use through my role. My real passion is in helping others and love my job where I get involved in a variety of activities that engage and inspire the residents.
