The Mayor of the Borough of Elmbridge has formally marked our name change to Thames View Care Home in Thames Ditton during a special event attended by members of the local community.
Our new name is a nod to our beautiful location and better reflects our welcoming and engaging environment.
During the event on Thursday, 7th March, the Mayor and Mayoress of Elmbridge, Councillor Richard Williams and Mrs Agenieszka Williams were joined by representatives from Crossroads Care Surrey alongside members of local organisations and the community as we celebrated.
Our new name Thames View was officially unveiled on Friday, 1st March and we hosted a special afternoon tea for residents and their families, prepared by our hospitality team.
While enjoying a selection of homemade sandwiches, sweet treats and some bubbly, we were entertained with music performed by a string trio.
Paul Fenech, general manager at Thames View said: “Our residents have really embraced the name change and thoroughly enjoyed their special afternoon tea accompanied by the beautiful string trio – our chefs really outdid themselves.
“It was wonderful to celebrate the day with everyone and we are so excited for this new chapter. ‘Thames View’ feels much more reflective of life at our home and although the name has changed, the heartfelt care and compassion remain the same.”
