Highlight of Tall Trees Care Home – The Oak Rooms

The 15-bedroom residential care unit – the Oak Rooms – at Tall Trees in Chipping Norton is situated on the ground floor. All the rooms overlook the Oxfordshire countryside beyond, with seven rooms benefitting from patio doors out into the garden. All fifteen bedrooms have ensuite facilities and The Oak Rooms has its own dining room complete with kitchenette and its own hair salon.

Home Manager Steph Jones feels the Oak Rooms offer something special to residents, allowing them to receive continuity of care, whilst still encouraging independence. She stated: “Residential care is very close to my heart and I am passionate about residents receiving a high standard of care and support. I love to see residents laugh on a daily basis and I am an advocate for encouraging independence by offering a wide variety of choices.”

Earlier this year the care home was rated as ‘Good’ overall in the latest inspection, with relatives praising the care team saying they were complimentary of the way the home was managed, “the current manager and deputy are brilliant and very helpful, always providing straightforward answers promptly to queries.”

The Oak Rooms have been decorated to a high standard, but residents are encouraged to personalise their room to make it feel homely. There is a programme of special activities seven days a week.
