Theresa, home manager of Sundridge Court Nursing Home in Bromley, is celebrating an exciting milestone – her 10 years of service to Sundridge Court.
Theresa joined the team back in 2014, starting out as a registered nurse and progressing through various roles including senior nurse and deputy home manager until, after years of hard work and dedication, she became home manager.
Her aspiration as a home manager is to continue improving the quality of care we provide and to foster an environment where both residents and staff feel valued and supported. She also aims to implement innovative care practices that enhance the wellbeing of residents.
Theresa commented, “What I enjoy most is the sense of community and the strong relationships we build with our residents and their families. Seeing the positive impact, we make on their lives every day is truly rewarding.”
One of her most treasured memories was organising a surprise 100th birthday party for one of our residents. “The joy and gratitude on their face was unforgettable and highlighted the importance of creating special moments for our residents.”
When asked what ‘Care from the Heart’ means to her, Theresa answered, “Care from the heart means providing compassionate, personalised care that respects the dignity and individuality of each resident. It involves going above and beyond to ensure that our residents feel loved, understood, and genuinely cared for.”
