With the arrival of milder weather, it’s an ideal time to get outside and enjoy the garden. At Aria Care, we value teamwork, which is why we introduced our Spring into Summer initiative this May, with a unified ‘One Team Approach.’ We know how important it is to make a strong first impression, so we rallied together to get everything ready for the summer months.
Both the team and those ‘green-fingered’ residents at Strathview Care Home are extremely proud of their home and thoroughly enjoyed getting involved in our Aria in Bloom activity.
Our married couple had an enjoyable time working as a team. Bill, who used to be an engineer, went straight into building the benches and his wife Bernice, was at home planting rose bushes and a cherry blossom tree.
Other residents and team members worked very hard tidying up the gardens and planting some beautiful flowers into our flower beds and into a selection of pots and planters. We followed up a wonderful day in the garden with an indoor project, bringing the outside into the home. We painted some wonderful pictures of flowers and plants on the wall in our dining room, which brightened up the space.
We would like to thank our wonderful volunteers and team for helping us on our Aria in Bloom day. In particular Bill and Bernice, who made a real difference in making the outside space at Strathview beautiful.
Aria in Bloom will become an annual initiative, with teams across the company working together to prepare our homes for the sunny days ahead. The result will be beautiful outdoor spaces where residents and their visitors can enjoy peaceful moments together.
