Fundraising Success at Rendlesham’s Summer Fete

A Wonderful Day at Rendlesham Care Centre’s Summer Fête

Rendlesham Care Centre was alive with joy and community spirit on Saturday 19th July as residents, families, team members, and local supporters came together for the home’s annual Summer Fête.

From 11am to 4pm, guests braved the less-than-perfect weather to enjoy an array of traditional games and activities. The ever-popular tombola and “Water or Wine” game drew plenty of laughter, while the raffle created a buzz of excitement with its fantastic prizes, generously donated by local businesses and kind-hearted members of the community.

The kitchen team delighted everyone with a mouth-watering barbecue, served with warmth and good cheer, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere that truly reflected the spirit of the day. The dedication of the staff shone through, ensuring the fête was an occasion to remember.

The event was further highlighted by a special visit from Jenny Riddell-Carpenter MP, who took time to tour the home, meet with residents, and enjoy conversations with staff and families before joining in the celebrations.

Thanks to the generosity of all involved, an impressive £1,790.36 was raised. These funds will go towards purchasing a Rainbow Table – an innovative, interactive digital table designed to provide stimulating activities and meaningful engagement for residents.

Rendlesham Care Centre extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, contributed, and supported the event. The success of the Summer Fête was a true reflection of the strong bonds between the home and its wider community.
