The team and residents at Southlands Place Care Home in Bexhill-on-Sea got out in the garden and rolled up their sleeves to take part in Aria in Bloom, they got so involved they worked across two days to get everything done.
As we head into the warmer months, it’s the perfect time to get into the garden. At Aria Care we believe in the power of teamwork, which is why we launched our Spring into Summer initiative this May, with a ‘One Team Approach’. We understand the importance of making a great first impression so we rallied our teams to work together and get ready for the summer.
We had a wonderful couple of days we refreshed our garden benches, trellis work and fences with a new coat of paint to brighten them up. As well as working on our garden we did some work at the front of the home by adding a bark area around our sign and planted a range of colourful flowers.
We also added some hanging baskets to the front of the building and around the garden for all to enjoy. The project is going to be ongoing for us as we have grown hundreds of seeds so are looking forward to planting these in the coming weeks as they are ready, and we will update our Facebook page here with progress pictures.
It has been lovely to receive wonderful feedback from both our residents and visitors about the work and to see the garden looking great for summer.
Aria in Bloom will become a yearly activity that everyone across the company will get involved with, helping our homes prepare for the warmer days ahead. Our residents will then be able to enjoy their outdoor spaces and give them and their visitors a beautiful space to unwind.
