Southlands Place Care Home in Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex are celebrating another successful dog show. The residents and team at Southlands Place held the 2024 show in conjunction with local charity Barby Keel Animal Sanctuary.
We were joined by family, friends, and our furry four-legged companions on the day. Our residents were the judges for a range of categories including, Prize Puppy, Golden Oldie, Most Looks Like Owner, Waggiest Tail, Cutest Face and Best Trick.
The winners all received a bespoke rosette, and every entrant was given a doggy cupcake, made by our chef. A fantastic effort by all meant £170 was raised for Barby Keel Animal Sanctuary. This was the best part, that we can support the wonderful work and have fun at the same time. Everybody had an amazing time, and we were delighted to meet some new doggy friends, see our residents and families enjoying the sunshine, as well as our amazing team!
Southlands Place Home Manager Fiona Yurteri thanked everyone for their efforts, “To our lovely furry contestants, and the local community it was another fantastic turnout for a wonderful cause. Thank you for being so well-behaved and putting on a wonderful show. You will probably agree that the judges had an incredibly difficult job this year. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we all did. A big thank you to you all for joining us, and to Barby and her lovely team. See you all again next year!”
