Scoonie House Care Home in Leven recently hosted a musical afternoon for residents and family led by an extraordinary trio of musicians from LMN Scotland.
Live Music Now Scotland is a fantastic company that gives outstanding young artists the opportunity of performing at the start of their careers and enables high-quality live music to reach people throughout their communities, especially those who wouldn’t normally have access to it.
David, Megan and Calum have made some brilliant achievements in the world of music, including David’s involvement with Pathways Programme, providing disabled musicians with personalised support, as well as Calum’s run as a finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician competition.
The talented trio approached Scoonie House and kindly offered a free afternoon of music for their residents and team. With David playing the fiddle, Megan on accordion and Calum on guitar, the band took centre stage and performed a variety of classical Scottish and folk music. Everyone had a great time listening and dancing along and all enjoyed a wonderful afternoon together, thanks to the trio for generously sharing their talents and wowing Scoonie House with an amazing performance.
