The residents, team, friends and families came together this week at Riverside Place Care Home in Ware as we celebrated St George’s Day together and to remember our patron saint.
We knew how important the day was to our residents so leading up to it we worked on decorations and baking themed cakes for the big day. Our baking club love getting together to create delicious sweet treats for all to enjoy and they did not disappoint. They also took the opportunity to reminisce of past celebrations as we did so.
On the day all the activities were themed around St George and one of our resident’s Barbara read a lovely poem about St George.
Iris commented on the day “it is so nice to celebrate our patron saint (and to have a tipple of Baileys!)”
