Riverside Place residents celebrate the King’s birthdayLast week, the residents and team at Riverside Place Care Home in Ware celebrated the King’s birthday with a delightful afternoon tea.

To mark King Charles’ birthday, the residents expressed that they wanted to celebrate in style with a traditional afternoon tea. Held in their beautiful orangery, the activities team worked with the catering team who created a sumptuous selection of delightful savouries and sweet treats for the residents.

Enjoyed by all, the celebrations were concluded by posing for pictures with a cardboard cutout of the King and a resounding rendition of ‘God Save the King’ which was led by resident Milly.

Resident Margaret said, “What a fantastic afternoon, I really enjoyed it, especially having a picture taken with the King, although he did look a bit bored (cardboard)!”
