The Gardening Club at Riverside Place Care Home has been in full swing at the home. As there has been a return of some better weather, staff and residents couldn’t wait to get back out into the garden. We started off by clearing out the raised bed area and getting ready to do more planting.
Our residents love spending time in the garden and don’t mind getting their hands dirty. Putting their ‘green fingers’ to good use engages our residents and helps maintain independence within the home. Activity-based care is also a great way to increase socialisation.
We had a lovely time tidying up and planting new flowers and would like to thank everyone for all their hard work. We cannot wait to get planting over the coming weeks.
