The residents and colleagues at Riverside Place Care Home in Ware enjoyed a day of celebrations to mark Burns Night. The day started with crosswords, wordsearches, quizzes and puzzles courtesy of our OOMPH wellbeing package which saw everyone getting involved.
Our chefs prepared a scottish themed lunch for all to enjoy, which was followed by an afternoon of entertainment. Diane joined us and played her saxophone with a range of music that had a scottish connection.
There was a seated jig, interesting facts were shared from across the border and one of our resident’s Barbara read some poetry from Robert Burns, saying “I like the poems but there were some very awkward words, I think my Scottish accent was very good though!!.”
Riverside Place provides residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent or short stay basis. If you are looking for a care home and want to find out more about our home call freephone 0808 208 4570.
