The community at Riverside Place Care Home commemorated Armistice Day last month. We were joined by family members, who gathered for poetry readings and a time to reflect.
We made a wreath during our craft sessions in the weeks before. Arts and crafts activities are always enjoyed by those living in our community at Riverside Place. Our residents were joined by family who gathered for poetry readings, as one of our residents, George, laid a wreath on the display we had made.
Activity-based care is a key ingredient for our residents to feel engaged and helps socialisation within the home. Arts and crafts activities are a great way to keep hands and minds occupied, as well as providing an outlet for your creative side. Our residents love getting creative and making something individual.
It was a poignant afternoon and one of our residents Barbara said, “what a respectful service”. We would like to thank everyone who joined us on the day.
