Residents at Oaken Holt joined together for a day of musical creation and exercise. Getting together for an activity provides much needed socialisation and engagement which is a key ingredient of activity-based care.
Kiddleydivey specialise in programmes that provide music and movement for older adults, those with dementia and other vulnerable groups. This helps support the continued mobility of our residents as well as, their communication, speech and language, social interaction, connection with memory and quality of life – we loved having Kiddleydivey at Oaken Holt and so did our residents!
Music cheers everyone up and lifts the spirits. Our residents had a great time, joining in with the movement to music activity. Music can transport you back to another time and place and can have a hugely beneficial effect on our residents, having a toe-tap to some classics can bring memories flooding back of trips to dance halls and of special occasions.
Oaken Holt has 53 ensuite bedrooms, with several of them enjoying views over the homes 23 acres of beautiful gardens and parklands that encompass the estate. The home provides residential and nursing care on a permanent or short stay basis.
