At Mount Pleasant we understand the importance of supporting residents to maintain links with their local communities. That’s why we play an active part in our community. We hold events throughout the year, and work closely with groups, schools and charities to ensure residents continue to enjoy a rewarding social life, and the chance to make new friends and try new things.
Our aim is to put a focus on the community. We want to boost morale and encourage neighbourly togetherness as well as to improve health and wellbeing in the district. Below are details of our upcoming events:

Coffee Club – monthly
Date: Last Friday of every month – next one Friday 26th April
Time: From 11am
Our welcoming coffee club is a regular monthly event for likeminded people from around the community to get together and make friends, take part in social activities and discuss local issues, all while enjoying a cuppa.

Memory Club – monthly
Date: First Friday of every month – next one Friday 3rd May
Time: 2:00pm -3:30pm
Join our friendly community at Mount Pleasant for the launch of our Monthly Memory Club! Held on the first Friday of every month, join us for the very first meeting with Dementia Friendly activities over a cup of tea and a slice of cake. All are welcome.

Doggy Cafe -monthly
Date: Third Thursday of every month – next one Thursday 18th April
Time: 9:30am -12:30pm
Join us at Mount Pleasant for our next Doggy Cafe. Following on from the last event, four legged friends are welcome to join us once again for homemade doggy treats and some fresh water. Cuddles and a warm welcome awaits. Owners are invited to enjoy a brew or cold drink too.

Join us for our community garden day, to create a vibrant and thriving space for our residents to enjoy the beauty of nature. Hear the top gardening tips from our expert residents, tea and cake will be on hand!
