The residents and team at Mount Pleasant Care Home in Burton-on-Trent enjoyed taking part in Aria in Bloom where they got out in the garden and rolled their sleeves up.
As we head into the warmer months, it’s the perfect time to get into the garden. At Aria Care we believe in the power of teamwork, which is why we launched our Spring into Summer initiative this May, with a ‘One Team Approach’. We understand the importance of making a great first impression so we rallied our teams to work together and get ready for the summer.
Everyone got involved as they braved the weather potting various plants under a gazebo and once the rain passed, they took the opportunity to paint the furniture and trellises. The café bar terrace got new planters, parasols, and a fresh coat of paint in Aria Colours. As well as vibrant flowers and plants being potted in their hanging baskets around the garden.
The piece de resistance of the project was the living wall that was put together containing an individual planter for each resident in the home, which were finished with Aria butterflies and logos. Nikki Kelly, home manager at Mount Pleasant commented “what a fantastic day it brought the whole Mount Pleasant community together!”
Aria in Bloom will become a yearly activity that everyone across the company will get involved with, helping our homes prepare for the warmer days ahead. Our residents will then be able to enjoy their outdoor spaces and give them and their visitors a beautiful space to unwind.
