The residents and team at Magna Care Centre in Wimbourne had a day last week that was all about celebrating the team at the home and what they do.
Our wellbeing team and Home Manager Kayleigh had previously met with the residents to discuss ideas on ways to celebrate everything the team does on a daily basis. Our residents wanted to celebrate with them to show their thanks and gratitude so came up with the idea of planning a family day.
So the wheels were put in motion and what a wonderful day we had, as it was the school holidays the team brought their children along to enjoy the fun.
There was a delicious BBQ, bouncy castle, football shootout, face painting and lots of games to play.
Kayleigh presented each colleague with a bag with small gifts in as a token of appreciation and there was a raffle draw to win a lovely roast for two at Hotel Di Vin.
Commenting on the day Kayleigh said “Appreciation can be shown in many different ways, it is important to thank our team and their families for their ongoing support.”
One resident commented on the day “it was lovely to see the little children enjoying themselves!”
