At Aria Care, we are proud to stand alongside those who have served – and continue to serve – in our military. As a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, we are committed to ensuring that serving personnel, veterans, reservists, service leavers, and their families are treated with fairness, respect, and the support they rightfully deserve.

What is the Armed Forces Covenant?
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, will not be disadvantaged in their day-to-day lives. It recognises the sacrifices made by military personnel and commits organisations like ours to providing additional support and flexibility where needed, for example with requests for holiday before, during or after a partner’s overseas deployment.
Supporting Veterans into Civilian Life
Moving from military to civilian life can be challenging. We actively support ex-service personnel by offering rewarding careers in our care homes throughout the UK. Whether it’s in care or nursing, maintenance, catering, or administration, we value the unique skills, discipline, and resilience that former Armed Forces members bring to the workplace. We have homes close to many military bases around the country and we aim to extend that same support to military families, too, by understanding their situation and offering flexibility where possible.
Our HR teams have undergone forces-friendly recruitment training to ensure our hiring processes are inclusive and supportive.
Welcoming Reservists and Their Commitments
At Aria Care, we recognise the vital role played by reservists in our national defence and daily lives. That’s why we want to accommodate reservists’ commitments and support time for training and deployment when needed, and will support where we can. We appreciate the experience and leadership they bring to our teams and understand the importance of their dual commitments.
Supporting Military Families
The families of service personnel often make significant sacrifices, from frequent relocations to long periods of separation. At Aria Care, we aim to be a supportive employer for military spouses and partners, providing job stability, career progression, and flexible working patterns wherever possible.
Championing Mental Health and Wellbeing
We understand that the experiences of military life can leave lasting effects. That’s why we are committed to promoting mental health support for veterans and reservists in our workforce. Through access to confidential counselling services, we help ensure that those who served feel supported in all aspects of their wellbeing.
A Nationwide Commitment
With care homes located across England, Scotland, and Jersey, our Armed Forces Covenant commitment reaches communities nationwide. We continue to evaluate and enhance our practices to remain a forces-friendly employer and care provider.
At Aria Care, our promise is simple: to honour and support our Armed Forces community with integrity, compassion, and respect. Whether you’re looking for a new career after service, looking for work close to a military base, seeking care for a loved one, or balancing civilian work with reservist duties, we are here for you.
