Our team and residents at Knowle Park Nursing Home in Cranleigh attended Cranleigh Carnival together to support the event and reach out to the local community. It was a beautiful sunny day that brought the people of Surrey out in droves to support the Cranleigh Lions annual event.
Many of our colleagues joined us on their day off and did a brilliant job setting up our stall and banners. We chatted with the lovely members of the community, had many laughs and shared the exciting news of Knowle Park’s recent refurbishment.
The day was buzzing with activities and performances and our residents had lots of fun watching the reggae percussion band, circus performers and junior contemporary dancers amongst many other fantastic displays.
Then we took to the streets for the Parade, marching down Cranleigh High Street with our carnival masks on alongside the drummers, Army cadets and Samba dancers. Our Home Manager, Caroline, and administrator, Bryan, proudly carried our banner, followed by our residents, Edna and Mary, who had a great time participating.
Our team and residents had a magnificent day at the Cranleigh Carnival and Parade. It was a great opportunity to connect with the community and represent Knowle Park in such a fun way. One member of the community told us, “If I need to go into a nursing home, I will come to Knowle Park because of the fun and enjoyment demonstrated!”
A massive thank you to the Cranleigh community for putting on such an amazing day, to our team for supporting us on their day off and our residents for joining in the fun and representing Knowle Park.
