Knowle Park Care Home have teamed up with a local artist, Sadia, to showcase her artwork around the home and in the process support a local charity.
The artwork is admired by our residents on a daily basis and has been a real talking point at the home amongst them since they have been on display. For every piece sold, 5% of the proceeds is donated to Cranleigh and District Lions Club.
The Cranleigh and District Lions Club primarily supports the less fortunate within the Cranleigh community and also supports national and international Lions appeals and projects.
The home is often involved in fundraising activities for charitable organisations and local groups and this is a new initiative to help achieve that. In addition to her artwork on display at Knowle Park, Sadia has also been visiting the home to provide art lessons to our residents, which they have thoroughly enjoyed.
Activity-based care is a key ingredient for our residents to feel engaged and helps socialisation within the home. Arts and crafts activities are a great way to keep hands and minds occupied, as well as providing an outlet for your creative side. Our residents love their art lessons!
