Recently at Knowle Park Nursing Home in Cranleigh, the team and residents celebrated both Global Intergenerational Week and National Gardening Week by inviting Connie, a British wildlife educator, to put on a special show for residents and children from Cranleigh Church of England Primary School.
The residents and children were thrilled to get hands-on experience with the animals, including a snake, toad, owl, and hedgehog. The session offered both a sensory experience for residents and an educational opportunity for the children to learn about British wildlife.
Activities Lead Mitra said, “The residents loved seeing the animals and spending time with the children. It really brightened up their day.”
