Residents and staff at Kippingtons Care Home spent a whole afternoon preparing for the Platinum Jubilee by making special decorations to be used at their Jubilee Fair. Lots of small local businesses had stalls including Body Shop, sweet cart, candy floss and candles.
The team at Kippingtons had their own stall selling lovely Jubilee items. We were joined by family and friends, the Sevenoaks community, neighbours and past relatives for our amazing Jubilee Party. Lloyd our wonderful singer entertained everyone at the event and as part of the festivities our local Mayor also planted a tree to mark the occasion.
Earlier this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. This marked her 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
We all had a lovely day and the Fair was a great success, raising £340. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us and supported us to make it such a wonderful occasion for our residents and their families.
