Last weekend, the team at Kingsclear Care Home in Camberley took part in the Brighton Memory Walk to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society.
Alzheimer’s Society is a charity organisation dedicated to supporting those living with dementia and providing hope for the future of those affected by the disease. They host their annual Memory Walks all around the country, where thousands of people take part to raise vital funds for dementia support and research.
The Kingsclear team care for many residents living with dementia and it’s a cause that’s very close to their hearts. They reached out to friends, family, and the local community to raise funds and their wellbeing coordinators, Harry, Erin, and Sienna, rose to the challenge, representing Kingsclear and all those that generously donated.
You could say they’re trained professionals in walking after being on their feet non-stop in their roles and the trio went the distance, completing the 6km route and raising a whopping £360, more than doubling the £160 target!
At Aria Care, we are so proud of our team members that are not only devoted to helping those living with dementia but go above and beyond to help create a brighter future for them.
