Recently at Kingsclear Care Home in Camberley, we hosted our monthly Hearts of Gold awards, an award scheme celebrating our employees for their passion, dedication and kindness. This month’s Heart of Gold is our wonderful administrator, Karen, who has worked at Kingsclear for three years and has been an absolute asset to our team.
Karen has worked in the elderly care sector for over 30 years in various roles including carer, HR and office support. She plays a vital role at Kingsclear, supporting our home manager and team with all administrative functions and, as we grow, she takes on new responsibilities with love and care.
“At Kingsclear we are one big family and everything we do is from the heart, delivering care with passion, respect, and empathy. I very much enjoy residents, relatives and staff chatting with me each day – I feel I give emotional support and empathy,” Karen commented.
Our home manager, Rob, presented Karen with the award after she received the most nominations from our team. Some of the comments the nominations included were “Karen is hard working, patient, caring and knowledgeable” and “Karen is so kind and will go above and beyond for everyone!”
Every member of our team goes the extra mile for each other and our residents, whether they’re a care assistant, manager or administrator, and it’s wonderful to see just how much we can accomplish together. That’s why the entire team at Kingsclear are so delighted to have recently been awarded a ‘Good in all areas’ rating from CQC inspection.
