Going for Gold: Kingsclear Olympics

Kingsclear Olympics

Last month, the residents and team members at Kingsclear Care Home in Camberley hosted their very own tournament to celebrate the Olympics. Split into different teams (red, blue, green, and yellow), they enjoyed a week of exciting games and challenges organised by our fantastic activities team.

Kicking off the event, residents enjoyed a dog racing-inspired game, which resulted in Pam and Ann taking first place. Next up was baking and karaoke, with the first floor showing off all their best moves and tricks. Midway through the week, the residents enjoyed a game of music bingo. Congratulations to Shirley for taking first place. On Thursday, residents released their inner athletes by taking part in an exercise class provided by Generation Fitness. Ending the week with a spectacular game of carpet bowls, congratulations to Renee and Pam who won in style. All teams did fantastically well, but the green team took the lead and was declared the winner by the end of the week.

Home manager, Rob Cook commented, “the whole event was enjoyed by our residents and some family members who joined in. This got our residents active and involved with the Olympics!”

Kingsclear also had a few birthday celebrations in August. Happy belated birthday to Jean, Enid, and Eleanor, we hope you had a very special day.
