Residents and the team at Kingsclear Care Home had a Coronation weekend to remember. They celebrated with delicious food and great company.
A momentous event in our history, the Coronation of King Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as king and queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. It took place on Saturday 6th May at Westminster Abbey and many of our homes organised celebrations to mark this occasion.
Our residents started off the day watching the service on television, whilst enjoying some nibbles. This was then followed by a fabulous buffet lunch with family and friends, provided by our wonderful catering team at Kingsclear. To finish off our celebrations, we attempted some belly dancing, which was a great way to work off the delicious food we had eaten!
Our celebrations at Kingsclear were a wonderful and fitting tribute to the new King and his wife.
