Sensory fun at Kings Lodge

Last week, the residents at Kings Lodge Nursing Home in Chichester enjoyed a range of sensory activities.

Designed to stimulate the senses and spark creativity, the session included activities ranging from calming strokes of watercolour painting to the gentle challenge of jigsaw puzzles, offering moments of relaxation and achievement.

A particular favourite at the home continues to be the Happiness Programme sensory table, which features an array of tactile and visually stimulating objects. Whether exploring textures, engaging in themed games, or reminiscing over familiar items, the residents find this interactive experience both meaningful and enjoyable.

Wellbeing Lead Diana said, “These activities not only offer enjoyment, but also help to encourage conversation, memory recall, and a sense of calm. We’re proud to continue offering enriching experiences that make each day brighter for our residents.”
