The residents and team at Huntercombe Hall Care Home in Henley-on-Thames enjoyed a magnificent afternoon tea event at the home, with families and loved ones, volunteers and the local community joining them for the occasion, which was inspired by the elegant and dramatic world of Bridgerton. Everyone got dressed up in period costumes and the home was decorated based on the theme. They were also joined by some residents and colleagues from another local Aria Care home Abbeycrest, who supported the event by providing a beautiful Victoria sponge cake for all to enjoy, which was greatly appreciated.
The home stepped back in time for a truly magical event with everyone joining in the fun with beautiful period costumes, classical music setting the atmosphere and the dining room was turned into a ballroom with dancing and games along with a delicious afternoon tea of dainty cakes, scones and vintage china. There was lots of laughter, photos and unforgettable memories made.
Resident Shirley Rogers commented on the afternoon and event saying “This is the best event I ever had in many years. Thank you for this amazing afternoon.” – which was wonderful for everyone to hear and made all the hard work worthwhile.
